The challenge

Idaho is growing. Its leadership capacity must grow with it.

Idaho’s institutions are changing, and many experienced leaders are preparing to step back from positions of responsibility.

At the same time, many capable Idahoans lack access to experienced mentors, practical leadership development, and the relationships that help people move into larger roles.

Idaho Leaders is being built to connect those two needs — preparing capable people for greater responsibility while helping experienced leaders pass on judgment, knowledge, and relationships.

How it works

Develop. Connect. Promote. Return.

Idaho Leaders develops people, connects them with others, promotes deserving leadership, and asks successful participants to return and help the next generation.

Develop

Practical preparation for greater responsibility through training, projects, and peer circles.

Connect

Durable relationships with mentors, peers, employers, and community institutions.

Promote

Profiles, awards, and public recognition that elevate deserving Idaho leaders.

Return

Graduates come back as mentors, advisors, partners, and supporters.

Leadership at every stage

Leadership development at every stage.

Idaho Leaders is designed for people across the full arc of leadership, from those building early credibility to experienced leaders preparing others to succeed them. Our initial focus is Idahoans with roughly five to twenty years of experience who are ready for greater responsibility but lack a structured path forward.

Emerging leaders

Students, apprentices, veterans, recent graduates, and early-career professionals building direction, capability, and credibility.

Rising leaders

Managers, experienced professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders preparing to lead teams, organizations, and major initiatives.

Established leaders

Directors, executives, business owners, and senior professionals preparing for broader organizational and community responsibility.

Senior mentors

Experienced leaders ready to share judgment, relationships, and institutional knowledge with the people who will follow them.
